gLOCAL 2024, The Relevance of MEL to driving transformation through local financing initiatives

This event engaged grant giving entities who interact with local/community level organisations in order to discuss /understand the actual or potential role of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) to identify/support/drive transformational change. Some areas for exploration include: the role that MEL play in organization's grant-making strategy for community-level organizations; how does your organization define transformational change within the context of community-level initiatives; examples of transformational outcomes that have been identified or achieved through MEL processes; tools and methods employed to assess the impact and effectiveness of funded projects at the community level; mechanisms to ensure that MEL approaches are participatory, contextually appropriate, and inclusive of diverse stakeholder perspectives.
