AlfaSierra - L'isola di Krk - Croazia

We Italians call it Veglia Island, but here we find no reference to this name. Here in Croatia it's called Krk. A stunning island, surrounded by the Adriatic Sea and connected to the mainland by a bridge south of the city of Rijeka. We spent four magnificent days here, visiting interesting places and stunning scenery. The roads that crisscross Krk are well-maintained, the sea is crystal clear, and the bathing areas are mostly free and often equipped with free chrome-plated steel showers. Hotels and apartments are affordable, especially if you book ahead of time online through popular platforms. Tourists are predominantly German, Austrian, and Italian, and the landscape, especially in the south, is wonderfully evocative, almost lunar. The villages along the coast are charming, with charming alleyways that closely resemble our medieval towns. Eating seafood in these places is satisfying; the portions are generous and the prices are competitive. The equivalent of sixty euros for a generous portion for two, carefully garnished. Croatia can be reached via Slovenia via wide, easily accessible highways, and at a reasonable cost. A few hundred kilometers from our border, we're there. Who are we? We're passionate about art, adventure, travel, hiking, trekking, and entertainment. We enjoy documenting beautiful things, even the ordinary, as long as they have meaning. We don't neglect news, current events, and comments on anything that might spark interest and curiosity. We work with passion, without any profit motive, and we strive to grow our initiative every day. We therefore ask our followers for a free contribution, a "like," or a subscription to our YouTube channel; this helps fuel our enthusiasm and desire to continue.
