Greece:Railfan/Special train arriving at Xranoi village on the Tripoli-Argos scenic line...

1/9/12.A historic train move after ~2 years of zero train traffic at the inner railway line of Tripoli-Argos(And almost the entire Peloponese meter gauge network!). Our train began its journey from Purgos and continue to Kalonero-Zeugolatio-Tripoli-Argos and end its journey late at night at the new Korinthos station where the suburban trains go to Athens via new standar gauge electrified line...In this shot the train arrives at the beautiful mountainous village of Xranoi where a special ceremony was held by the people of the village and the mayor of Megalopolis..This special move was organized by Trainose people with support of SFS(Greek friends of railway)..The train consisted of 2 Alco diesel locomotives .A9101 witch was rebuild and repainted in 2008 with the original color which first came to Greece to serve the ex SPAP(ΣΠΑΠ) company which operated the entire 731km Peloponese meter gauge network. The second one is the original 1965 Alco factory A9105.The wagons was one second class and one luggage car.
