What does it take to assemble a global community of artists? Before the first sketchbooks open on the streets of Toulouse, the foundation of the 14th International Urban Sketchers Symposium is built behind the scenes. Day 1 is about the mechanics of anticipation. This film documents the arrival and preparation of the international faculty and instructors, the raw operational effort of the volunteers setting up the space, and the massive Art Market taking shape inside the Centre de Congrès Pierre Baudis. We close the day inside the opening ceremony as hundreds of creative minds from over 40 countries finally share the same room.
