How strong are your running legs RIGHT NOW? | Capacity Testing Class | Physiorun

Most runners measure progress through pace and distance. But do you know how much load your legs, calves, trunk and hips can actually handle? This week in The Classroom we run a full capacity test — 7 tests, 2 minutes each. Your job is simple: count your reps or note your hold time, write the numbers down, and use them to track your progress over time. When you come back to this test in a few weeks, ask yourself — do the same numbers feel easier? Can you do more? That is real progress. --- 📋 THE 7 TESTS (2 minutes each) 1. Heel Lift Calf Raises — calf and Achilles load tolerance 2. Side Plank Star — hip abductor strength and lateral trunk control 3. Sit to Stand — quad strength and functional lower limb power 4. Hop Test — reactive strength and single-leg confidence 5. Split Lunge Hold — quad, hip flexor and glute capacity 6. Plank Hold — trunk endurance for better running form 7. Hamstring Bridge — posterior chain strength and symmetry --- 📝 LOG YOUR NUMBERS Write down your reps or hold time for each test. Note which side feels weaker. Note how hard it feels — easy, moderate or hard. When you retest, you will have an honest record of where you started and how far you have come. --- This class is ideal for runners who want to: Understand their current physical capacity Identify weak links before they become injuries Track real strength progress over time Build a smarter, more informed training routine --- 🔔 Subscribe for weekly running strength classes from Physiorun 👍 Like this video if you found it useful 💬 Drop your numbers in the comments — let us know how you got on --- James Physiorun — Strength and physiotherapy for runners --- #CapacityTesting #RunningStrength #StrengthForRunners #RunnerWorkout #PhysioForRunners #Physiorun #RunningInjuryPrevention #CalfStrength #HamstringStrength #CoreStrengthForRunners #SingleLegStrength #RunnerRehab #OnlinePhysioClass #RunningPerformance #TrainLikeARunner --- YouTube tags: capacity testing for runners, running strength test, calf raise test, hop test for runners, plank test, runner strength assessment, how strong are my legs, physio for runners, running injury prevention, strength for runners, Physiorun, online physio class, running capacity, single leg strength test, hamstring bridge, running performance test
