Screaming Trees-Give Me The Nod (1995 Lost Dust Recordings)

June 25th 2021 is the 25th anniversary of the release of the Screaming Trees album Dust. In celebration here is a little treat for all our fans. In the Fall of 1995 at Capital Studios in Hollywood the Screaming Trees were beginning recording work on what would become the Dust album. After a self torturous two years spent writing songs we were finally in the studio. We had the tunes we were going to use but were still obsessively writing stuff in our off hours. This recording contains the band live in the studio running through three songs we came up while we were doing preproduction in LA while living at the Oakwood in Toluca Hills. The multitrack was not running but I was recording this onto cassette so we wouldn't forget the songs. After this day we went on the record the basic tracks for the album at Capital and overdubs at Sunset Sound Factory but these songs were never mentioned again and have been sitting in my closet for 25 years and I am the only person that has heard them until now, hope you all enjoy... 1, 1000 Pound Hammer: by Mark Lanegan (lyrics) Gary Lee Conner (music) 2.
