After joining a cosmetics company, she worked as a beauty advisor, makeup artist, and esthetician, mainly in Tokyo and Yokohama. She also appeared on the Shopping Channel. However, she began to question the working and living conditions in Japan, and began to look abroad. She began studying French at a language school, and in 2003, she studied abroad in France for a short period. She became fascinated with the French lifestyle, which was the complete opposite of what she had imagined.
