Move Shoot Move Nomad Star Tracker Review

First impressions of this light-weight Milky Way and Deep Sky Astrophotography tracker. I've been asked what do I personally use so here is the list. (I've checked the MSM site for the best options in terms of 'bundles' ) At MINIMUM you need #1 & #2. I'd HIGHLY recommend using #3 between the Nomad and the ballhead as it makes lining up your shot so much easier and puts less stress on the rotator. #3 is great for rotating the camera to take each section of a panorama. Lastly, if you're in a climate when your lenses fog up because of Dew then the heater is a must. Hope this helps. šŸ” Move Shoot Move šŸ” šŸŽ„ šŸŽ 10% off! - Use these links and the Discount Code BFCM at checkout. šŸŒ Worldwide Shipping 1. šŸ‘‰ Starter Kit (NOMAD+Ballhead+ Calibrated Pointer) https://www.moveshootmove.com/product... 2. šŸ‘‰ Wedge https://www.moveshootmove.com/product... 3. šŸ‘‰ V Mount https://www.moveshootmove.com/product... 4. šŸ‘‰ 360° Arca Swiss Panoramic Panning base https://www.moveshootmove.com/product... 5. šŸ‘‰ Dew Heater https://www.moveshootmove.com/product... šŸ””Please SubscribešŸ”” Ā Ā Ā /Ā @stargazermanĀ Ā  ā–¶ļø Northern Lights trip    • ChasingĀ theĀ AuroraĀ inĀ TromsoĀ NorwayĀ forĀ 3Ā ...Ā Ā  ā–¶ļø Motorizing a GSO Dobsonian telescope    • MotorizingĀ aĀ GSOĀ DobsonianĀ telescope.Ā Ā Rom...Ā Ā  **My Flickr where you can find more details on the shots in this review** https://www.flickr.com/photos/franks_... The previous manufacturing tolerances were fine for Astro-landscape but deep-sky needs a firmer foundation. The MSM Rotator, due to its design, required specific weight positioning to keep the ball head secure; this has been completely eliminated. The laser now screws into the tracker eliminating any chance of wobble. The industry standard quick-release plate on the bottom is secured in 2 places preventing any twisting of the tracker on its mount. Improved load capacity. The hardware has been built to withstand twice the amount of torque as the MSM Rotator. Where the MSM Rotator was only designed for wide-angle Astro-landscape, the NOMADE has been designed with wide-field deep-sky use in mind. Availability of an optional counterweight system for more experienced users to go even deeper. Simplified operation. By designing and building a device with a narrower focus we were able to make it better while keeping the size down. One 3-position switch; Northern hemisphere, Southern, or Off. In order to improve on our goals of ease of use and portability, the non-tracker function of the MSM Rotator has been left off, greatly simplifying the operation of the new tracker. The NOMADE is focused on one function, star tracking. (NOMADe does not have timelapse mode) Reduced size and weight. A foremost feature of our trackers is portability. Our users take our trackers with them even when backpacking to some of the most remote areas of the world. We worked to make storing and transporting the tracker even easier so you'll always want to have it with you when traveling. The tracker is called NOMADE for a reason; it is designed to travel with you wherever you go. Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/soundroll/out-of...
