Speech Therapy Tips: Exploring the Meaning of Language with Your Child
Speech Therapy Tips: Today we explore the area of Morphology, or the smallest units of meaning in Language Development. We discuss how we can change the meaning of our words and sentences, by changing the tiniest little sounds of a word, for example, by adding a plural /s/ to the end, or by changing the ending of a verb from -ing to "ed," making it past tense. This is our 3rd video in a 5-part series to look at the 5 different areas of language development in your toddler. The educational information in this video is not meant to be medical advice. If you are concerned about your child's speech and language, be sure to contact your Pediatrician and request a referral to a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
