Ten years ago, the Keramik brick factory in downtown Vinnytsia churned out tens of millions of bricks annually. But that's a thing of the past... Back in 2008, Keramik's owner, well-known Vinnytsia businessman and former Verkhovna Rada member Volodymyr Skomarovsky, envisioned the construction of an elite villa development called "Volodymyrskyi Massiv" on the site of his factory. But construction never began... After this, Keramik first halted production, and then began dismantling the factory buildings. By the beginning of 2021, all that remained of the former production flagship, located on the "golden" 8.15 hectares in the center of Vinnytsia, were ruins, a four-story administrative building, and memories... Then, a heated debate erupted around the site, as another Vinnytsia developer, Vladimir Adamchuk, known for the Pirogovsky residential complex and a number of other less high-profile construction projects, intended to develop the plant's territory, as well as the adjacent trolleybus depot. The plan was to build a residential complex of 10 seven-story apartment buildings, as well as a new school, while the plant's administrative building was converted into a kindergarten. However, Adamchuk's plans were thwarted at two public hearings, as I filmed back in May:    • В мэрии Винницы решили «заморозить» развал...   However, in December 2021, construction equipment and a metal fence appeared on the Keramik ruins, and preparatory work for the future construction began. It turned out that the Keramik site would indeed be converted into housing, but it would no longer be built by Vladimir Adamchuk, but by another Vinnytsia developer, Volodymyr Bartsyos. Vladimir Bartsyos's new project on the site of the Keramik plant is called the Central Park residential complex. The project envisions the construction of 19 high-rise residential buildings, ranging from 15 to 20 stories, on 8.15 hectares of land along Kirpichny Lane. These buildings will house a total of 3,009 apartments, as well as commercial space and recreation areas for residents. The new complex will feature one-, two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom apartments ranging from 32 to 177 square meters. Prices per square meter in the complex as of the end of 2021 range from 20,000 to 29,700 hryvnias per square meter. Construction of the first building in the Central Park residential complex has already begun. It will be a 16-story building with three sections. The first building in the Central Park residential complex is scheduled to open by the end of 2024, or three years from now. The completion date for the remaining 18 buildings is not yet known.
