Flesh hangs everywhere, all throughout the house, a rotten stench fills the air. This house felt rather like the setting for a horror film! The family who once resided here were farmers, slaughtering pigs and sheep. They have a fine collection of ornaments and paintings displayed all around the large manor, indicating that they were a wealthy family. We had the pleasure of meeting a remaining family member as we left the site, he explained to us that he grew up here but when his parents passed away 20 years ago he moved out of the house into a caravan in the yard and hasn’t stepped foot inside since and he doesn’t plan to in the future. He still breeds animals for slaughter to this day, still making use of the land and sheds.
