Brake Hose Replacement 190, 190SL, 220S, 220SE, 230SL, 250SL, 280SL
This applies to just about any MB from 1950's-1980's. I forgot to mention, replacing the brake hoses should be considered routine long-term maintenance. Assume you will need to replace the hoses after 10-20 years. Clarifications: Before using a torch on the fittings try to unscrew them. You might get lucky and they release. If reasonable force does not unscrew the fittings, consider heating them. I have only used an oxy/acetylene torch on the fittings. I like the pin point immediate heating. I have not tried a MAP torch such as used for plumbing. Let me know if you have any questions.
