Vanished Into Annapurna’s Death Crack
April 17th, 2023. Annapurna. A 34-year-old climber from India grips his rappel device 19,600 feet above sea level. Three days without supplemental oxygen have turned his thoughts slow and muddy. His fingers are numb inside his gloves. His eyes and legs are heavy. His thoughts are cloudy. The hard part was supposed to be over. One last 20-foot rappel. Then a smooth, long hike to Base Camp. But in the next three seconds, everything goes wrong. His teammates watched in terror as he disappeared deep into a crevasse in the heart of the 10th-highest mountain in the world. What unfolded next is one of the craziest stories I’ve told on the channel. This is Anurag Maloo, and these are the three seconds that changed everything. Welcome to the Extreme Edge. --------------------------------------------------------------- Every week I share something deeper... an exclusive video, a breakdown of what really happened, or a personal story I don’t put on YouTube.
