It features a 2979 cc, six cylinder, 306 HP engine, giving a maximum speed of 155 mph (limited) and a claimed combined fuel consumption of 33.6 mpg. It will hit 0-62 mph in 5.6 seconds and features a bunch of technology including BMW Connected Drive, cruise control, auto start/stop, Drive Performance Control, and so on. We took delivery of a test vehicle in the South of Spain and drove it back to the UK via 5 countries and environments along the way, from the sun kissed beaches of the French Riviera to the frozen tunnels of the Swiss Alps. Besides being a lot of fun, it gave us a chance to put this beautiful looking Teutonic road machine through its paces. At the end of the 3.5 day, 2000 mile trip we came away hugely impressed by the handling, performance and all round driveability of the BMW 435i M Sport Convertible. It handles like a dream, has bags of power on tap for when you need it, and turns heads when it arrives on the scene. What more could you ask for? Oh yes, a superb automatic, one button convertible top (drop-head to you, sir), which is impeccably executed and very slick. All in all a great model from a classic marque.
