To see El Cielo in Cozumel, Mexico, you need to book a tour, since the only way to get to El Cielo is by boat. They'll probably sell you the El Cielo tour from Playa del Carmen or Cancun. I think the cheapest option is to get to Cozumel on your own and book this tour from there. To get to Cozumel Island, you have to take a ferry from Playa del Carmen. The ferry to Cozumel costs $455 pesos on Winjet and $500 pesos on Ultramar. I think Ultramar is better. Once you get off the ferry, you'll have many tour options in Cozumel. Obviously, the most popular is the Cozumel snorkeling tour, which visits El Cielo, El Cielito, Colombia Reef, and Palancar Reef. You can book a tour at the marina. The price of the tour is between $600 and $700 pesos per person in 2021. This tour includes water, soft drinks, and beer. El Cielito Cozumel is an incredible sandbar! Here, the water reaches your knees, and you can see manta rays swimming inches from you! What many people call El Cielo Cozumel beach isn't actually a beach; it's here where you'll see the famous starfish. This tour also visits two of Cozumel's reefs. Colombia Reef Cozumel is very beautiful; there you can see coral gardens. The second is Palancar Reef Cozumel, where you'll see what look like coral mountains—impressive! I definitely recommend taking the El Cielo Cozumel tour! Believe me, you'll have an amazing time!
