Collective Enfranchisement - A fancy term for BUYING YOUR FREEHOLD in the UK - Section 13 Notice

In this video I talk about Collective Enfranchisement which is just a term used to describe the collective purchase of a Freehold. In the UK, flat owners may have the opportunity to force their Freeholder to sell the freehold if certain criteria are met. This process is governed by Section 13 of the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993. There are many benefits to buying your freehold if you're a flat owner, such as gaining a 999 year lease, gaining control of service charge or maintenance and unlocking development potential to name a few. This is not simple thing to do, but in this video I explain a bit about the process and what the criteria need to be met in order to be able to qualify. If you're a flat owner (leaseholder) and you're thinking "is it possible to buy my freehold", then the answer is YES! If you liked the video, remember to hit that like button!
