Appearing before Parliament’s Committee on Assurances, the Minister said interventions being rolled out will boost tomato farming and improve the capacity of local farmers. He added that government plans to establish an off-take system to purchase tomatoes from farmers, provide market support, and help sustain their operations. The move forms part of efforts to strengthen food security, support farmers, and reduce Ghana’s dependence on imported agricultural produce.
