Saint Dominic's Preview (Van Morrison)

A Van the Man song was an inevitable Evlar video but the choice of song was a nightmare. I really wanted to do "In the Garden", along the lines of the magnificent version from A Night in San Francisco, but I rejected that as being too much of a challenge: big changes in dynamics are really hard to achieve when the musicians are all remote from one another. I plumped for St Dom because it's (possibly) my favourite Van song - certainly my favourite lyric (no, of COURSE I have no idea what Joyce blowing the hoist is all about). As always, I am humbled by the quality of the participants, overwhelmed by their generosity and hope they get as much delight from this as I do.
