In order to protect fish stocks, the Shimano Japan Cup Whiting Championship has adopted new rules: the qualifying round will be shortened to one hour, and the competition will be limited to a total weight of up to 10 fish. This new approach will be put to the test in the national finals, with commentary from Jun Hioki and Koichi Ito.
