Animated Ratchet vs. Age of the Primes: Which Grumpy Medic Wins?

Transformers Animated gave us a cantankerous version of Ratchet, the wise old medic who wasn’t the best socially. Age of the Primes gives us a new version of this Autobot character and we compare it to the original toy. Which is better? You get to decide after Captain Kyle reviews both of these cranky figures. Transformers Animated Ratchet showed us an older Autobot who had seen eons of war and wasn’t the most pleasant of bots after that. An expert at fixing up his damaged comrades, he was also very free with his opinions and in his lack of compassion for others' stupidity. The Transformers: Age of the Primes version of the toy is much less show-accurate than the original release, leaning towards a more realistic form in both robot and vehicle modes. In this versus review, Captain Kyle compares it to the original release, which was much more show-accurate but lacked some of the modern articulation of the latest figures. Which is better?
