KAMPUNG PALING RAMAH!! Begini Suasana Kampung Durian Sebatang Pelosok Kalbar

Hi everyone, I'm back with Ndhuk Tri, who will take you on a journey through transmigration villages and other villages in remote parts of Indonesia. In this video, we're still in the Durian Sebatang area. Our journey continues to delve into the stories of the transmigration community who live here, side by side with the original inhabitants of the old Durian Sebatang village. Durian Sebatang village itself is approximately 380 kilometers from downtown Pontianak by land. The journey via the Kapuas River can take up to 12 hours by klotok boat. This distance and difficult access are part of the long history of the people here. The original population of this village is predominantly Malay, with Dayak and Chinese communities contributing to its cultural diversity. Transmigration communities from various regions of Java also play a vital role in the social life of this village. Most of the original Durian Sebatang residents now depend on laborers for a palm oil company located in Package 7, not far from their settlement. Here, I didn't forget to capture a photo of the iconic single-bar durian suspension bridge that spans the Durhaka River, connecting the Durian Village and the transmigration village in Package 10 with the transmigration settlement in Package 11. This bridge was built in 2021. Before this aesthetic bridge, the community used to cross by klotok boat. Beneath this bridge, I met a small Malay child enjoying nipah fruit. It turns out they often eat nipah fruit. Children usually forage for it along the Durhaka River. Have you ever tried nipah fruit like this? Nipah fruit tastes like young coconut flesh, savory and chewy, with a translucent white color, very similar to palm sugar palm fruit. Young nipah fruit has a chewy texture and a light brown skin, while mature nipah fruit is dark brown. At first glance, it's difficult to tell the difference. However, mature nipah fruit is inedible; it's like biting a rock to imagine its hardness. Having had enough fun enjoying nipah fruit with the Malay children, I continued my exploration of the durian village, where the Malay durian tree tribe lives, many of whom live along the banks of the Kapuas River. After a closer look at this authentic village, we'll continue our journey with Mbah Kasdan, a transmigrant from Blora, East Java, whose full story of life in this transmigration village we didn't get to hear yesterday. For those of you who haven't seen the previous part, please watch it first so you can hear the full story of this long journey.
