DAIRY FREE CHOCOLATE SYRUP: PEPPERMINT SNOWBALLS 3/4 cup finely crushed peppermint candies or candy canes (divided) 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 cup vegan butter, softened 1/3 cup powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Preheat oven to 325F. In a small bowl combine 1/4 cup crushed candies and 1/2 cup powdered sugar; set aside. In a larger bowl combine butter, 1/3 cup powdered sugar, remaining crushed candies and vanilla. Stir in flour. Shape into into 1 inch balls, place 2 inches apart on an unreleased cookie sheet and bake 10-13 min till set but not brown. Immediately remove and roll in reserved peppermint sugar mixture, let cool, and roll again in peppermint sugar if desired.
