The Mercurial Mark Mercuri
Mark Mercuri was one of the most skilful players to pull on the red and black in recent memory, known for his silky movements, classy play and wonderful finishing skills. Throughout his career he played 207 games for the Bombers, kicked 242 goals, won premierships in 1993 and 2000, and in 1999 alone he won the Crichton Medal as Essendon’s best & fairest, was runner-up in the Brownlow medal, and was retrospectively awarded that year’s ANZAC Day medal. His career highlights are a joy to watch, so I hope all you Bomber fans enjoy this tribute to the man known as the Mercedes Benz - the Mercurial Mark Mercuri! (Thank you again to my brother for designing the intro and outro to this video)
