Ancient Roman Barley Bread according to Pliny

Pliny the Elder describes several kinds of barley preparations in his Naturalis historia (18.14), among them this barley bread with coriander and linseeds. Pliny calls barley one of the oldest human foods. It indeed belongs to the oldest cultivated grains.
