Hello, this video is about the optimal connection between the Scheppach belt and disc sander and a Kärcher vacuum cleaner, and which adapter can be used for this purpose. Enjoy! In an earlier video, I introduced you to the Scheppach BTS900 belt and disc sander. This machine is very robust and versatile, and I haven't regretted buying it. If you don't already own one, I recommend watching my video about it, which I've linked in the top right corner. After publishing that video, I received many questions about the machine, and the most frequent question was which adapter can be used for dust extraction. I'd like to answer that question for you today. The adapters I'm presenting here, one straight and one 45-degree version, are specifically designed for connecting a Scheppach BTS900 belt and disc sander. The BTS800 was manufactured using the suction hose from a Kärcher WD series vacuum cleaner. The diameter of the suction port on the BTS900, which is almost exactly 62mm, served as the adapter. Anyone interested in the adapter, which I've linked below the video along with the other devices shown, should definitely measure the outer diameter of their own device before ordering. Scheppach has slightly changed the diameter several times over the years, and unfortunately, the adapter shown here doesn't fit the Vario models, i.e., the BTS800Vario and BTS900Varion. So please always measure before ordering to ensure the outer diameter is indeed 62mm. If it is, the adapter fits the suction port perfectly, as shown here. Nothing wobbles, and with a diameter of 35.6 or 35.7 mm, the other end fits perfectly into the suction port of a Kärcher WD series vacuum cleaner, as you'll see shortly. The adapter is available in a straight and a 45-degree version, so no matter where your belt and disc sander is positioned, you can always use one of the adapters shown. The Kärcher WD6 P wet/dry vacuum cleaner, which I've also shown in another video (top right), has a power outlet for connecting external devices. When these are switched on, the vacuum cleaner also switches on and, after being switched off, automatically switches off again with a run-on timer. This is, of course, very advantageous in conjunction with the sander. You don't have to switch two devices on and off separately; both are controlled by the on/off switch on the belt sander, which is simple, convenient, and saves a lot of time. If you are interested in one of the adapters shown, please measure beforehand to ensure it will fit.
