El Faro de Mara Torres | Javier Gutiérrez | 27/05/2024

That boy who wanted to be a sports journalist is now one of Spain's most prestigious actors. With two Goya Awards, three Feroz Awards, two Forqué Awards, and a Max Award, Javier Gutiérrez can choose between film, television, or theater: "Theater turns me on, although five minutes beforehand, when I hear the murmur of the audience, I want to go home." Gutiérrez sees theater as a way of bringing culture closer: "I consider myself a carrier of culture to every corner. For me, premiering in Madrid has the same significance as going on tour to a town where that show will be the only thing they see for a quarter." After twelve years, Javier Gutiérrez and Luis Bermejo are re-releasing "El traje," written and directed by Juan Cavestany.
