It starts as a small being, growing into a greater form the closer it gets to the top. But humans can never reach the top, and so it tumbles back down the steps and gives a faint cry as quiet as billowing silk. Is this to say that humans are imperfect? Is the A Bao A Qu foolish for placing its faith in humanity? Why can't it it ascend the tower itself? The video's chief subjects are people (Boris band members) waiting for something, or walking seemingly to nowhere. Could it be that all of humanity are the A Bao A Qu? Are we waiting for someone or something to guide us to Nirvana? Toiling away in our daily lives, waiting, waiting for something, anything. The song here is the standout of this DVD for me. The Evil One Which Sobs video is abstract visualization. Feels like looking at the surfaces or oceans of alien planets. Heavy Metal Me is a Boris riff on the works of film director Andrei Tarkovsky. Beautiful as it is, I don't feel correct in writing more on it until someone can translate the Japanese text within. Rest of the DVD is stellar live footage of Boris performing arguably their most popular song Feedbacker, and the not far behind Flood. Fantastic content. Feedbacker has never been my favorite Boris work, and admittedly this rendition of Flood here doesn't engage me as much as the studio version, but these are sure to please Boris fans out there.
