Jimi Hendrix - Captain Coconut [from Crash Landing vinyl LP]

While the song is a fascinating piece of psychedelic ambient rock, its "creation" by producer Alan Douglas remains a point of contention for Hendrix purists. "Captain Coconut" is not a song Jimi Hendrix ever recorded as a single piece. Instead, producer Alan Douglas took three unrelated studio fragments and edited them together: When producer Alan Douglas took over the Hendrix archives in the mid-1970s, he found this "MLK" tape. He combined it with two other unrelated pieces—"New Rising Sun" and a jam with Buddy Miles. I do not own the copyright to the music, the recording and the photos.
