For the Lord has chosen Zion; he desired it for his dwelling place, saying, “This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.” Psalm 132:13-14 Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion. Isaiah 8:18 Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone (Jesus) as a foundation, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; let him who believes not be in haste.” Isaiah 28:16 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels, to the assembly of the whole church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven, to God, the Judge of all; to the spirits of the righteous made perfect; and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
