Singapore Bus Service 181 has officially been extended to Tengah Interchange on 14 June 2026 under the Land Transport Authority's Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP). 🍵 Support my channel here: - https://buymeacoffee.com/singaporeisland This video documents the first day of operations of the newly extended Bus 181, featuring a complete ride along the route between Boon Lay Bus Interchange and Tengah Bus Interchange. Originally introduced on 9 January 2005, Service 181 operated as a loop service connecting Boon Lay Interchange with Jurong West Avenue 3, serving residents in Jurong West Neighbourhoods 7 and 8, Wenya Estate, Gek Poh and Westwood. For more than 21 years, it remained one of the few trunk routes operating entirely within Jurong West. On 14 June 2026, Service 181 was extended beyond its traditional loop alignment and converted into a bi-directional service between Boon Lay and Tengah.
