Christmas morning arrived, and we made our family's traditional Christmas breakfast: muffins, bacon, and eggs or American sausage. Then we opened everyone's Christmas stockings, filled with handmade gifts, candy, or cards prepared for each other. Next, we went to the living room to open the larger gifts—gifts prepared by Mom and Dad or our sisters. Many of these were secondhand treasures from thrift stores. Christmas is our favorite season and holiday. We love decorating the house together, having tea together after dinner on cold winter nights, playing games, and chatting. We read the Bible together, and the pianist plays hymns for us to sing along. We've sung them a cappella before. This is a day full of gratitude. We thank God for giving His only begotten Son, Jesus, who came into the world to save humanity (us). He gave His life for our sins so that we could be reconciled to God. It is such a joy to see the girls eyes light up as they open these simple gifts, and appreciation show to their thoughtful siblings. Christmas is our favorite season and holiday. We read the Bible together, and the pianist plays hymns for us to sing along. Sometimes we sing them acappella. This is a A day filled with gratitude.
