Uganda's Parliament witnessed a dramatic moment after Hon Justine Nameere protested being touched while leaving the floor, shouting "Don't Touch Me!" before the House proceeded with an important government statement on the upcoming LC1 and LC2 local government elections. During the sitting, Parliament received the election roadmap from the Ministry of Local Government and the Electoral Commission, confirming that LC1 village elections will be held on 28 July 2026, while LC2 parish elections are scheduled for 10 August 2026.
