The Beast Of Hollow Mountain (1956) - Stop Motion Shots
Based on one of Willis O'Brien's film treatments, this movie's stop motion effects ultimately ended up being produced without any involment of O'Brien. While the titular beast does not look like a very realistic dinosaur and the animation varies greatly in quality from shot to shot, there is still some good work on display here. Several shots combining projected backgrounds and miniature foregrounds look unusually good, the miniature and projected elements blended very well with good lighting and camera work. Henry Lyon is credited as the model maker and the film's director Edward Nassour is credited as the stop motion animator.
