Ad-free and perfect for sleep. Tonight's Stories: The Vomit Bucket Fresh out of surgery, nauseous and weak, she needed urgent care and he refused to drive her. Then he kicked her out to sit in the car with a bucket during his Zoom interview, so she wouldn't distract him. Six years of this. Now You're Getting It Seven years of blaming the bottle. She woke with severe vertigo, called paramedics, told him at work, and he said he'd do overtime. He couldn't start his car, he'd been drinking. Then he called her a princess for wanting him at the hospital. Yeah, Now You're Getting It He swore he was fine to drive. She could tell he'd lied, and when she called it out he sped up, swerving blind curves to scare her. Later she told him it killed her feelings for him, and he smiled and said now she was getting it. A Family With Depression Her sister attempted suicide and spent a week hospitalized; she took the time off, held everyone together, barely slept. She turned to him for comfort and he said she came from a family with depression and probably needed treatment too. He Walks Away Seventeen to thirty-four, three kids, half her adult life. He'd literally turn and leave mid-sentence, called everything she liked rubbish, sat his full weight on her legs at 3 a.m. At thirty-five she finally stopped bargaining. I Regret Marrying You Twenty-two years, and the last three slid into name-calling and worse. He told her she was an idiot, that he regretted marrying her, that he thought she'd change. New country, no language, papers not settled, kids citizens there. Nothing You Do Three years feeling he thought he was better than her. She finally asked, and he said yes, that nothing in her life deserved his respect, that he'd stayed to change and better her. She left the next day. Ten years on, he's still hung up. The Ashes She brought her father's ashes home and he asked why she was still crying. He vanished during her labor to cut the grass, missed the hemorrhage and the ICU, and when she survived he had a comment about how her swollen face looked. The Cooler Before his nephew's wedding she said tailgating from the trunk felt off, and he screamed she was accusing him of ruining it, called her a name, froze her out all night. Driving home drunk he told her to jump out, then jerked her head into the window. Missed My Meals Lockdown showed her everything; her first work trip after, he barely texted. Home again, no greeting, just faint resentment that she'd interrupted his gaming. She asked if he missed her. He said he missed her making his meals. I Didn't Know Anyone Had Heard At twenty: valedictorian, a Fulbright, and a boyfriend who hid her successes from his friends. When his professor recognized her, he shrugged it off. He'd dated her because she was hot, then resented that she outshone him. The Hard Braking Two hours of sleep a night abroad, she begged him to drive and he made her navigate. She passed out instantly, so he slammed the brakes again and again, jolting her face toward the dash, punishing her for needing rest. Worth Getting Better For He asked, calm and cruel, what made her think she was worth getting better for. He rushed her grief over her father's ashes, vanished during labor for chores, and after she nearly died greeted her survival with a remark about her face. The Stairs Two weeks of being treated like a stranger in her own home; she sat on the stairs sobbing, begging to know what was wrong, and he walked past her. A week later she had to drag out of him that he wanted a divorce. Not even two years married. His Stinky Farts The day her dog died, raw with grief, she said in bed she'd miss his stinky farts. He said he didn't want to hear about her dog's farts. She turned away and cried herself to sleep. The next morning he complained about their sex life. #TrueScaryStories #SleepStories #RainSounds #BlackScreen #HorrorForSleep #WhisperNarration #CreepyTales #TrueCrime
