Iceberg Ahead - Maths into Clouds

Hi all, the first draft of my book is done, but the book itself still needs a lot of work. Now it's time to decorate it with companion videos which are custom made for a specific chapter. However, they should also be able to stand on their own. I don't read books either :). This video links to the BOOK's Chapter 04, Choosing your first Module. Except, you don't get to choose anything, the idea is to let you hit an iceberg called Maths. We all had these moment of staring at a panel and thinking profanity. But Maths is Eurorack's number 1 module for a good reason. It can't possibly be a bad investment. But choosing it as your first? That's mean :). If you are seriously interested in modular synthesis, Maths is a hurdle you need to take. Like it or not, a VCO is a luxury item. So is a VCA and a VCF. An ADSR has 'keys' all over it. These components are all part of a success story called Moog Model D, which is ironically also the machine where Moog left the modular playground. It's OK if you don't want to go this deep, but I promise you that a function generator can spice up any patch you'd ever make. Being confined to Maths and Clouds may feel like a prison, but it's not. This little combo can make sounds no Model D can ever do. Ironically you won't find anything close to a Model D in Maths or Clouds either. Both deeply agree to disagree, and that's the beauty of our niche - where nothing is done before.
