"Carina" was first performed by Larz-Kristerz in dansbandskampen's final on December 20, 2008. The song was released as a single on January 28, 2009, and is also included on the band's 2009 album Hem till dig. On February 6, 2009, the single topped the Swedish Singles Chart. Thus, Larz-Kristerz became the first dansband to top the Swedish singles chart. The song entered Svensktoppen on February 22, 2009, where it remained for 10 weeks and peaked at number 3.
