It is therefore a good idea to ask your Driving Instructor or whoever is helping you with your driving lessons to take along the A444 so you can become accustomed to the speeds of this duel carriageway before you even think about when to book the driving test. This is one off the very few UK practical driving test routes where you as the candidate, is not only required to look at the road ahead but also has to look up at the sky. Also you may notice some road signs are covered by vegetation and some of the road markings are, in my opinion quite late, almost too close to the junctions to allow you to plan ahead satisfactorily, this is a feature of the roads this area, it is to your advantage to get to know all of the driving test routes. My advice is to watch the videos more than once; to get a really good idea of the roads you will be asked to drive on and where any pitfalls may occur. You will notice many of the Coventry driving test routes overlap with each other meaning some of the roads and junctions are included in multiple test routes particularly in light of the recent driving test changes. These videos are the most recently published test routes from the DVSA. The test routes are subject to change periodically; however they rarely change completely it is more likely they will slightly alter. Also if there happens to be a road block ahead; due to road works or an accident for example; your examiner may alter the test route in order to save time or in the interest of fairness for this reason the video should be seen purely as a guide. This means you are not guaranteed to stick strictly to the route in the video.
