a conversation with a stranger led me here. | a slow video diary of a day in Cinque Terre

A girl and a guy asked if they could sit next to my friend and I on a boat tour in Malta. I said yes, and my friend said no, at the same time. Still, we invited them over and we talked for the rest of the 4 hours, stopping occasionally for a dip in the crystal clear Blue Lagoon or to take a sip of a yummy Maltese Cisk. The conversation led us to our next stop in Pisa - where the guy mentioned that Cinque Terre is a must-see and was only an hour away from Pisa by train. I froze. Cinque Terre, and Riomaggiore to be exact, had been on my bucket list for years and years. I even had added it to my Pinterest board when I found out I was going to study abroad in Prague - not even thinking it would be an option. The photos were just there for inspiration. And so, we paid the 20 euros for a train ride from Pisa to Monterosso, and I documented my entire time there because I literally could not believe I was there (and didn't want to forget how it felt). So, here's a little look into my happy happy brain on that day. xoxo, Maya
