A documentary that tells the story of the FLC CGIL, the Knowledge Union, through the voices of those who live, defend, and transmit knowledge every day: teachers, researchers, students, and cultural workers. The narrative intertwines the union's historical memory with contemporary reflections on the value of knowledge as a common good and a condition of freedom. "Knowledge is Freedom" spans twenty years of Italian history. It is a two-part story told from the perspective of those who, through union struggle, have made Knowledge a right, not a privilege.
