When you think of "electric towns," what's the first place that comes to mind? I'm sure Akihabara in Tokyo and Nipponbashi in Osaka come to mind. Due to their sheer size, they're also known as the Akihabara of the East and the Nipponbashi of the West. Nipponbashi is one of Japan's leading electric towns. However, the electronics stores have disappeared, replaced by many apartment buildings and hotels. Why is this happening?
