Getting BIG DATA by unlocking the power of CDSAPI - You will go loopy!
This video shows viewers that have little or no previous experience with python how to implement loops in python CDSAPI scripts to get much larger datasets than the web interface allows. This greatly facilitates the access to big data from the Copernicus climate data store by showing you automate downloads that far exceed the maximum allowed with the web interface. The technique is demonstrated for ERA5, but can be used for the seasonal forecasting and CMIP5 and CMIP6 datasets too (more videos on those coming soon!) The video assumes no prior knowledge of python, but it would be useful to first watch my other videos on ERA5/Copernicus web interface and also the video on the CDSAPI before watching this. I hope you enjoy this and find it useful and please try not to go too.... loopy ;-)
