Two judges and the MC of the competition, held in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, are now being sued at the Central Jakarta District Court. Advocate David Tobing has officially filed a lawsuit against the two judges and MC, alleging they failed to demonstrate professionalism in carrying out their duties during the competition. In the case, the first judge sued is Dyastasita Widya Budi, Head of the Constitutional Review Bureau of the Secretariat General of the MPR RI, as Defendant II. The other judge, Indri Wahyuni, Head of the Secretariat of the MPR Socialization Agency, is named Defendant III. Meanwhile, the MC of the competition, Shindy Lutfiana, is also being sued as Defendant IV. David assessed that the defendants failed to demonstrate professionalism in carrying out their duties during the competition. He also highlighted the alleged unfairness experienced by the participants during the judging process. This case gained public attention after a viral incident occurred during the competition. At the time, a participant from Pontianak 1 High School's answer was declared incorrect by the judges. However, when a participant from Sambas 1 High School gave the same answer, the judges deemed it correct. This difference in decision sparked controversy and culminated in legal action. David Tobing, also known as Josepha Alexandra, filed a protest with the judges, but it was ultimately rejected. Legally, David argued that the defendants had violated Article 1365 of the Civil Code. David stated that his lawsuit was a form of support for the nation's future generation who dare to speak up and reveal the truth, and a form of concern for students, encouraging them to have the courage to express their opinions. In addition to the judges and MC, David also filed a lawsuit against the Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Ahmad Muzani, as Defendant I. Meanwhile, in his petition, the plaintiff asked the judge to grant his lawsuit, requiring Defendants II and III to apologize directly and publicly to all students and teachers of SMAN 1 Pontianak. Furthermore, David also requested that the judge declare all defendants guilty of unlawful acts. He also requested that Defendants II and III be dishonorably discharged from their positions within the MPR. Furthermore, he requested that Dyastasita and Indri be barred from serving as judges at official state events, from the regional to the national level. The same lawsuit was also filed against Shindy, requesting the judge to prohibit the defendants from serving as MCs at official state events, from the regional to the national level.
