IPA Webinar "Countertransference in Sexual and Gender Diversity"

The topic of Countertransference on Sexual and Gender Diversity has increasingly drawn attention within psychoanalytic research and clinical practice, reflecting the work of the IPA, including that developed through its Committee on Sexual and Gender Diversity. This area of inquiry has become a vital part of contemporary psychoanalytic dialogue, appearing in numerous scientific meetings and publications. In this webinar, we bring together a panel of experienced psychoanalysts from different regions who have worked extensively on questions of sexuality, gender, and the complexities of countertransference. Through their diverse clinical and theoretical perspectives, they will explore how psychoanalytic understanding can illuminate the intersections between identity, desire, and analytic process.
