Countdown (Australia)- Molly Meldrum Interviews Roger Voudouris- August 19, 1979- Part 2

A segment from the long running Australian music TV series Countdown, which aired on the ABC from 1974-1987. This particular segment aired during the Countdown episode which originally aired on August 19, 1979, on the ABC. This clip features the second part of an interview of American singer Roger Voudouris conducted by Countdown Talent Co-Ordinator Molly Meldrum. Molly and Roger discuss Roger's early career, which he began as a songwriter at 17, and also discuss his earlier work as a studio (or session) guitarist on other albums, from which he then turned to singing the songs he wrote. Molly also asks about comparisons between Roger and American musician Eddie Money. Vaxfacts: As a result of the performance in-studio of 'Get Used To It' on this particular episode, just prior to this interview, Voudouris became somewhat of a minor cult figure and sex symbol in Australia.
