He began playing the accordion at age six and launched his stage career at seven. Ratoi has won over 60 national and international competitions, including the Coupe Mondiale, Klingenthal, PIF Castelfidardo, and Moscow Accordion Competition. He studied under Prof. Geir Draugsvoll at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. In 2022, he was awarded Moldova’s “Master in Arts” distinction. Ratoi has performed in prestigious venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic and Copenhagen's Radio Concert House. His repertoire spans classical, contemporary, jazz, and folk music, showcasing the accordion's vast possibilities.
