This parable tells the story of a very rich man who lived in all the luxuries of his wealth. He was not a believer. In this scenario, we also see a beggar named Lazarus who, besides being a beggar, was also sick and lived near the rich man's house. This beggar sought out the rich man's leftovers to live on. But he was a believer! He lived with dogs on the streets, and the dogs licked his wounds. They both died. The beggar was taken to Abraham's bosom (heaven), and the rich man was taken to hell.
