Having a good grasp on your current financial position (your monthly spending, your liabilities and your assets) allows you to make better financial decisions. These decisions (what job? to buy or rent? when to have kids?) are HUGE - they are life-defining decisions. AND it's arguably (at least a wee bit) irresponsible to make these decisions without properly understanding your ability to financially cope with them 🤔 So, as much as this feels pointless / cringey / like me boasting, it’s absolutely not intended to be that.
