1959/60 Magnavox tube console amp

This little amp was way down my priority list but I started playing around with other amps looking for something to use with my vintage record changer. After testing this one out I decided to restore it so I could use it. It is unique. The tone and volume circuits are not wired into the amp itself but is in a separate little box. I did spend some time being confused about the controls because I didn't pay attention to certain clear clues in the design, and, there is no documentation that I could find. This little amp really surprised me. It really worked very well with the new cartridge I put in my turntable. Other amps didn't work nearly as well. To see the final video where the turntable and amp are connected and finally working the way I wanted it to go here:    • Buzzing and Humming, Oh My
