Number 29 - ESB’s Georgian House Museum The ESB came to us with a very specific problem to solve. A new ESB corporate headquarters is being constructed at Fitzwilliam Street and during these build works the adjoining Georgian House Museum is closed to the public for the duration of the construction. So how do people who want to experience this fully restored Georgian house do so when it's closed? Our solution encompassed a complete digitisation of the house and the creation of a Virtual Reality experience so potential visitors could step inside the building and explore it in it's entirety from the basement to the top floor! Not only did we create a new website and branding we also produced a documentary to tell the story of Number 29 from the housekeepers perspective to show what life was like in Georgian Dublin in the late 1800's. We scanned the entire house in 3D using advanced imaging and infrared cameras and created an interactive and immersive experience that's available through the Number 29 website, on mobile devices and VR headsets. Visitors can now step back in time seamlessly and explore the sights and sounds of this beautiful Georgian house and learn about the wider Irish history of when Dublin was the second city of the mighty British empire.
