Łódź – one of the most fascinating, yet most extreme, cities in Poland. In this walking report with the DJI Osmo Pocket, I don't sugarcoat reality. I show you Łódź exactly as it is in 2026: full of places that will take your breath away, but also those that simply bring shame to the city. On the one hand, we'll admire the elegant Piotrkowska Street surrounded by flowering trees, listen to stories at the Arthur Rubinstein monument, walk along the glittering Alley of Stars, and visit breathtaking, hidden courtyards – the Rose Passage and the glass-walled Szajblera Passage. You'll also see modern office buildings, premium apartment buildings, and the famous Łódź Unicorn. On the other hand, simply turn into some of the gates or cross onto Wschodnia Street and you'll be confronted with a completely different reality. I show dilapidated, abandoned outbuildings with demolition orders, frightening signs about the threat of a construction disaster, vast, deep excavations, and the chaos of endless renovations. We'll also take a look at the roofing of Jaracza Market and see what the surface of Wolności Square, just above the underground "Dętka" Canal, looks like after the recent completion of work.
